* If applicable. ONLY official transcripts for remaining prerequisite coursework and/or degree conferral are required. If both boxes are checked on your CAF indicating you have completed the prerequisite coursework and degree requirements, we do not require transcripts from you. Consult your Conditional Acceptance Form (CAF).

OUTSTANDING PREREQUISITE GRADES
We are looking for B or better grades for outstanding prerequisite coursework. We will not accept a grade of C or C+ unless you have NO C or C+ grades in any other pre-requisite courses. A maximum of one C or C+ grade in a pre-requisite course is acceptable.
DPT Clinical Education Requirements
Upload required documents to myRecordTracker by July 31.
- Information and instructions for Clinic Requirements will be sent the first week of March.
- All requirements must remain current for the duration of the DPT program for you to complete required Integrated Clinical Experiences (ICE) and Clinic Placements.
- If any of these requirements expire by November, you must update them before July 31.
PHYSICAL EXAM
Physical exams are required for integrated clinical experiences, some clinic sites, and to be enrolled in the DPT program at Marymount University.
- Schedule a physical exam with your healthcare provider.
- Download and PRINT the MU DPT Student Medical Form for your healthcare provider to complete and sign.
- Upload your completed and signed MU DPT Student Medical Form to myRecordTracker by July 31.
*Your completed and signed MU DPT Student Medical Form is required for BOTH myRecordTracker and healthhx@marymount.edu (see Student Health Services section).
If you have already had a physical exam within the last year, please contact pt@marymount.edu for instructions.
REQUIRED IMMUNIZATIONS
All immunizations must be completed and uploaded to myRecordTracker by July 31.
- COVID-19
- 2 doses Moderna or Pfizer or 1 dose Johnson and Johnson. Booster required.
- Hepatitis A
- 2 doses or proof of positive titer required.
- Doses must be at least 6 months apart.
- First dose is due by July 31.
- Hepatitis B
- 3 doses or proof of positive titer required.
- Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR)
- 2 doses or proof of positive titer required.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (Tdap)
- 1 dose within the last 10 years required.
- TB Test
- Quantiferon Gold or T Spot or Two Part TB Test (requires 4 visits, 1-3 weeks apart)
- If you have a history of a positive TB test, you must show documentation of negative chest x-ray within the last 10 years; lab report required.
- Varicella (VAR)
- 2 doses or proof of positive titer required.
- Influenza*
- Not required by July 31. Required in October.
CPR CERTIFICATION
The DPT program requires that you obtain the proper CPR certification by July 31, and you must continue to maintain the proper CPR certification throughout your enrollment in the program. Certifications are valid for 2 years. ONLY American Heart Association basic life support (BLS) for healthcare professionals are accepted.
- Use the AHA Instructor Network to find an approved CPR course.
- Complete an American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers course.
- Upload proof of completed approved AHA CPR course in myRecordTracker by July 31.
*AHA Heart Saver and American Red Cross CPR courses are NOT accepted.
BACKGROUND CHECK & DRUG SCREEN
Complete the background check and drug screen through ApplicationStation by July 31.
*Background checks and drug screens from any other provider will NOT be accepted.
HEALTH INSURANCE
Health insurance is required for the entirety of the DPT program. Upload proof of health insurance in myRecordTracker by July 31.
EMERGENCY CONTACT FORM
Complete the online form with your Emergency Contact Information. Refer to the email you receive the first week of March.
University Student Health Services
Student Health Services & University Requirements
Student Health Services also requires a copy of your health documents. Their office does not have access to myRecordTracker; only DPT Clinical faculty and staff.
- **NEW PROCESS** Email your completed and signed MU DPT Student Medical Form to healthhx@marymount.edu. (You may ignore references to the University Student Medical Form or Packet.)
- Email proof of required immunizations to healthhx@marymount.edu.
- Email proof of health insurance to healthhx@marymount.edu and complete the online insurance waiver on the MyMarymount Portal under SignOn Links (available in August).
*Your completed and signed MU DPT Student Medical Form is required for BOTH Student Health (healthhx@marymount.edu) and myRecordTracker (see Pre-Clinic Requirements).

TUITION & FEES
Marymount DPT tuition and fees are available online. Refer to our Marymount University Financial Fact Sheet for more information.
FAFSA
Complete the FAFSA Application. Your Financial Aid Award Letter will be mailed to you at the address we have on file.
SCHOLARSHIPS
The Kincaid Scholarship is a one-time gift to be applied to tuition costs for the first year of the program. Applications are available in February, and you will receive more information by email.
GRANTS
VTAG is a state grant available for Virginia residents. Students submit their applications to Financial Aid via email.
LOANS FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS
Unsubsidized Direct Loan and Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan are loan options available for graduate students.

Course Registration
Fall Course Registration
- The DPT Program will register you for fall semester coursework in June.
- The fall semester class schedule will be released to you during the summer.
- Classes begin Monday, August 28 and follow the Academic Calendar.
Fall courses and the full curriculum are available on the DPT program webpage under Curriculum Snapshot and in the Academic Catalog.
Technology
Technology Hardware & Software
COMPUTER HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
- All Doctor of Physical Therapy students are required to have a laptop or desktop, but a laptop is highly recommended. Some lectures can be viewed on mobile devices; however, quizzes and exams must be taken on a laptop or desktop.
- Tutorial is hosted online through Zoom, and all students are required to have a microphone and webcam to participate.
- All hardware requirements are listed on the Marymount ITS website for Technology Purchases.
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Download required software prior to the beginning of classes.
- Microsoft Office 365 is FREE for Marymount students. This software is required.
- PDF reader software is required.
- Respondus Lockdown Browser is required for completing exams.
PRINTING
The 4040 Center has two WEPA printers available for students to use. To re/load your student WEPA dollars each semester, you will log into WEPAnow.com using your MU log in credentials.

PARKING
- Student parking is located in the 4250 Fairfax Garage with purchase of a permit.
- Permits can be purchased online each semester for approximately $150 (based on 2022-2023 academic year).
BIKING
- Near the Custis and Bluemont Junction Trails, the 4040 Center is easily accessible by bicycle.
- DPT students have access to the 4040 Bike storage room.
- Marymount now has a Capital Bikeshare station on Main Campus for rentals.
METRO BUS
- Both Arlington Rapid Transit (ART) and Metrobus offer transportation to the Ballston Metro, located near the DPT Program in the 4040 Center.
