Marymount University is a major force in the economy of Arlington County and the greater metropolitan area of Washington, D.C. We positively impact regional economic growth by providing thousands of jobs, spurring increased spending in the area and improving our community’s overall quality of life. An example of the economic impact of universities in the community, Marymount contributes to local economic development in a number of ways. Starting with our purpose-driven education model that contributes highly equipped employees to a number of regional companies and industries. - $61 million in off-campus student spending, supporting 1,139 local jobs
- 16,000+ hours toward community service initiatives annually
