Marymount Scholarships
MedStar Health Physical Therapy Scholars (MHPT)
This scholarship is designed to provide transformational educational opportunities for Marymount University physical therapy students. Through this initiative, MedStar Health will award five (5) Marymount DPT students $20,000 towards their educational expenses for Academic Year 2024-2025.
Applicants must complete this Google form by Friday, January 5, 2024. Recipients will be notified before the January 16, 2024 commitment deadline.
Virginia M. Kincaid Foundation Scholarship
One of the goals of the Virginia M. Kincaid Foundation is to support student in achieving their dreams of higher education through scholarship support. The Foundation has identified physical therapy as one of its support areas. The Foundation expects those receiving one of their scholarships to be individuals who will continue to contribute to their communities and their profession into the future.
This award is for a one-time gift of $9000 to be applied to tuition costs in the first year of the program. Five awards are available for the Class of 2027.
Applicants must complete this Google form by Friday, January 5, 2024. Recipients will be notified before the January 16, 2024 commitment deadline.
2023-2024 Kincaid Scholarship Recipients
Virginia M. Kincaid Foundation Physical Therapy Endowed Renewable Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to female graduate Physical Therapy students whose mother and father (or if a single-parent home) have an adjusted yearly gross income of less than $50,000 as adjusted by the inflation index. If such a student is not available, the scholarship(s) may be deferred.
This is a renewable award for students in good academic standing. Gift amount dependent on number of eligible candidates.

Rita Wong Scholarship
This is awarded to a third year full-time student who is in good academic and judicial standing in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program with an interest in clinical practice for older adults. A current FAFSA must be on file in Financial Aid Office and the recipient should be recommended by a MU DPT faculty advisor.

External Scholarships
APTA Minority Scholarship Fund
This is an annual award offered to minority physical therapist students by the Minority Scholarship Fund, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization supported by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). To acknowledge and reward demonstrated participation in minority affairs activities and services, the potential for superior achievements in the profession of physical therapy, appropriate display of professionalism as a future physical therapist, and academic excellence.
