Nationally Recognized

In the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings, Marymount is ranked on the list of ‘Best National Universities’ for the first time in our institution’s history. This fulfills a key goal from our Strategic Plan ahead of schedule, and is an incredible achievement worthy of celebration on campus! It represents the culmination of several years of dedicated efforts from our faculty and staff to enhance the University, and is an accomplishment that could truly change the trajectory of Marymount’s future.

Marymount was also acknowledged for our diverse campus community, global perspective, and the strength of our Nursing program in particular:

The scores from U.S. News & World Report are determined through several weighted key measures of quality that consist of graduation and retention rates, social mobility, graduation rate performance, undergraduate academic reputation, peer assessments, faculty resources, selectivity, alumni giving, graduate indebtedness, and more.

We are at the beginning of a new era for this University, one in which we are nationally recognized for our student success, alumni achievement, and faculty and staff excellence. These latest rankings prove what we at Marymount already know – our community is incredibly unique, we have something important to offer all of our students, and that momentum is on our side. This is great news, and it’s so rewarding to have our efforts recognized.

Also, I encourage all of you to check out our new edition of Marymount’s ‘A Year in Review’ magazine. It includes important updates, initiatives, and news from the past year and also shows off the excellent achievements of our students, faculty, and staff!

Sincerely,

Irma Becerra, Ph.D.
