What We Do

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) supports the Marymount research community throughout the grants and contracts lifecycle, from idea development and proposal submission to award closeout. Our team works in partnership with faculty, staff, and students to ensure that proposals and awards meet sponsor, university, and regulatory requirements.

Our Core Services

Pre-Award Services

  • Support proposal development, including budget preparation and compliance review

  • Coordinate internal routing and approvals before submission

  • Provide scientific writing assistance, including expert feedback and editing
  • Submit proposals on behalf of the institution

Post-Award Services

  • Review and set up awarded projects in the university’s systems

  • Monitor award terms and conditions

  • Track spending, approve financial transactions, and assist with budget revisions

  • Provide guidance on allowable costs and sponsor requirements

Contract & Agreement Management

  • Negotiate and execute contracts, subawards, and other sponsored agreements

  • Ensure terms align with university policies and applicable regulations

Compliance Oversight

  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, sponsor, and university research regulations

  • Support processes related to human subjects research, financial conflict of interest, and other compliance areas

Award Closeout

  • Coordinate final reports and deliverables

  • Complete final financial reconciliation and submit closeout documentation
