Elevator Pitch

When beginning the process of applying for a sponsored research project, contact Office of Sponsored Programs to ensure there is sufficient time to prepare the proposal document.  In addition, please speak with the School Director and Dean about the project.  You will need to “sell” your project idea to the School Director, Dean, OSP, and eventually the sponsor; therefore, it is helpful to capture thoughts and ideas on the Elevator Pitch Worksheet below.  All parties (School Director, Dean, and OSP) will need to sign the Authorization to Pursue Form to begin the proposal process. The purpose of the Elevator Pitch Worksheet is to document ideas and selling points to guide these discussions to obtain concurrence and buy-in for your project.
