*The standardized test requirement will be waived for applicants with one of the following credentials:

• A master’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Undergraduate Business degree from Marymount or other ACBSP or AACSB-accredited program with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Non-Business bachelor’s degree from Marymount or another accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, a grade of B or higher in a statistics or calculus-level course, and a grade B or higher in an English composition or literature course
• 3-5 years of post-bachelor’s work experience that demonstrates career progression and exposure to core M.B.A. competencies (work experience alone does not qualify an applicant; the merit of the waiver request will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the program director)

International Students:
For university coursework completed outside the U.S., a course-by-course transcript evaluation is required from a NACES member evaluation agency such as World Education Services or Educational Credentials Evaluators.

Students for whom English is a second language must submit a recent official score of 96 from TOEFL, 6.5 from IELTS, or 58 from the PTE academic exam, or documentation of program completion at 1 of Marymount University’s language partners. INN 510: Entrepreneurial Thinking

This course introduces students to entrepreneurial skills and the mindset to create and commercialize an innovation. Guest speakers, relevant readings and videos, in-class discussions, and real-world applications on entrepreneurial behavior contribute to theories on how innovation is converted to a product or service that is meaningful to a customer. Also covered are the initial stages of entrepreneurship: ideation, opportunity assessment, and customer discovery.

MBA 516: Business Law and Ethics

This course examines the role of law, legal procedure, and ethical reasoning in the management of business enterprises. The U.S. Constitution is covered as the basis for all law, as well as business organization and corporate functions, judicial system and administrative processes, contract law, tort law, employment law, consumer protection, securities, and legal-ethical concerns. The course provides a broad understanding of the reciprocal influence between business, legislation, and ethical practice.

OD 521: Organization Development Change and Consulting

This course focuses on understanding, managing, and facilitating change in organizations. Diagnostic models and theories of organizational development are emphasized to identify problems, plan interventions, and develop processes for facilitating organizational change.

Over the next decade, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts nearly 10% growth in managerial-level employment across all professions. Marymount master’s degree in business administration graduates have landed successful careers as:

The School of Business is proud to offer a wide variety of highly customizable undergraduate and graduate business programs to equip you for success in the “What’s Next Economy.” And because of our partnership with BILT’s School of Technology and Innovation, we can prepare you for the new world of work at the intersection of business and technology.

For undergraduates, we offer programs in Business (B.B.A.), Accounting (Accounting B.S.), Economics (Economics B.S.), and Fashion Merchandising and Marketing (Fashion Merchandising and Marketing B.A.). The Bachelor in Business Administration (B.B.A.) program is unique in that it offers a breadth of understanding of business as well the opportunity to explore more deeply (via minors) traditional areas of business (e.g., Marketing or Finance), or topics with a technology emphasis (e.g., Cybersecurity or Data Science). There are 20 minors for B.B.A. students to choose from, including a new minor in Entrepreneurship.

The B.S. in Accounting presents students with the same foundational business courses as the B.B.A., but also offers an extensive set of Accounting-specific courses. In Economics, students are offered a quantitative, technology-focused track (the B.S. in Economics).

For graduate students, we offer programs in Business (M.B.A.) and our Online Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA). However, a unique aspect of our state-of-the-art master’s programs is the ability to earn a dual degree in a time-effective and cost-effective manner. Because of our partnership with the School of Technology and Innovation, you could earn a dual degree with an M.B.A. and an M.S. in Cybersecurity. This option, and several other dual degrees, are available to our graduate Business students.
