Sara Hedayat – Director of International Recruitment and Admissions
My journey from being an international student to working with international students has been exciting and fulfilling. As an international student in the US, I wondered if I made the right decision to travel thousands of miles away from my home and leave my family behind to get a better education; I wondered if I could find a home away from home. Now, I know it was the best decision I have ever made. It led me to finding my new home; therefore, I am here to help international students, like me, find their home at Marymount University. I believe that the diversity, sense of community, and inclusiveness of Marymount University make it the perfect choice for students from different parts of the world.
I am passionate about education, and I enjoy connecting with students from different cultures and backgrounds. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about MU and the admission process.
Outside of Marymount, I enjoy being a mom to my toddler and love taking strolls in the DC area and walking by the monuments (my favorite is the Lincoln Memorial).

Best College Search Process Tip
Applying to university requires time, patience, and a great deal of hard work over a long period of time. Don’t wait until the night before the admission deadline or even the month before. Plan early, connect with the right person, learn about the process and ask questions.
