Rob Schickler – Senior Assistant Director of Transfer Admission
I grew up in Arlington and graduated from Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria. After living and working all over the country, including Los Angeles and Nashville, I am excited to be back in the DMV and closer to family and friends. I never planned on having a career in college admissions, but I have found I enjoy meeting people, hearing their stories, and helping them pursue their educational and professional goals. Whether you are transferring from a local institution such as NOVA or Montgomery College, or coming from out of state, Marymount provides a beautiful campus and a small, diverse, welcoming community to support your continued growth.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, and cheering on the Washington Nationals baseball team. The transfer admissions team looks forward to working with you!

Best College Search Tip
Try to visit as many campuses in person as you can. Websites are good for learning basic information and how to apply, but the best way to get a feel for a school’s culture is to experience it for yourself. You’ll probably know pretty quickly whether you can see yourself being a student there or not.
