Hunter Ratliff – Transfer Admission Coordinator

Hunter Ratliff – Transfer Admission CoordinatorOriginally, I moved to the Northern Virginia area for government contracting. I was a government contractor from 2020 to 2024 but decided to make a career change to higher education. I have two fur children (Mia and Maxi) that make life worth living, and I know no matter how bad my day is they will be waiting for me with wet noses and kisses at home. I enjoy going to the gym and playing video games on the PC and PS5 when I am not at work.

Favorite Food

Greek cuisine. Greek food embodies a rich cultural heritage and a sense of hospitality. It’s about sharing meals with loved ones, celebrating traditions, and savoring the simple pleasures of life. Whether I’m enjoying a casual meal with friends or celebrating a special occasion, Greek cuisine always brings a sense of joy and satisfaction that makes it my favorite culinary indulgence.

Favorite Location on Campus

The Gerard Dining Hall is my favorite place on campus, and it’s not just because I’m always hungry (though that’s definitely a big part of it!). It’s a bustling hub where the aroma of freshly cooked food mixes with the lively chatter of students. Whether it’s grabbing a quick bite between classes or settling in for a relaxed meal with friends, the dining hall offers a sense of comfort and community that I cherish.

Best College Search Tip

Prioritize fit over prestige! Look for colleges where you’ll thrive academically, socially, and personally. Consider factors like campus culture, class sizes, available majors, and extracurricular activities that align with your interests and goals. A college that fits you well is more likely to lead to a fulfilling and successful experience than one chosen solely based on its reputation.
