Information Technology Services
About ITS
The mission of Information Technology Services (ITS) is to enable student and institutional success. We seek to advance the work of others at the university by providing innovative technology solutions for instructional, administrative, outreach, and social purposes in harmony with the shared values of the university community. ITS strives to act as a careful and thoughtful steward of significant institutional resources, providing access to knowledge for individuals to use to transform society as well as themselves.
ITS units provide a wide variety of services to support the academic and administrative technology needs of the Marymount community:
IT Support Services
IT Support Services provides assistance via a walk-up Help Desk as well as through telephone, email, and in-person support. A ticketing system is used to record and respond to service requests. IT Support Services configures, installs, repairs, and upgrades PCs, Macs, printers, and other equipment used in classrooms and university offices; installs and tests software; and sets up audio-visual equipment for events. It also manages and supports computer labs on the Main campus and the Ballston campus.
Administrative Information Services
Administrative Information Services is responsible for planning, implementation, and operational support of the university’s administrative and academic systems. This includes Workday for human resources, finance, and student record functions, and Canvas for online learning, as well as many other related systems.
IT Infrastructure and Security
IT Infrastructure and Security provides the campus with a secure, stable, and efficient technology infrastructure including wireless and wired networks, servers, university-wide email, and telephone and Internet service.
