About Meal Plans
Marymount Dining Services venues include the Gerard Dining Hall, eat Café, Bernie’s Café in the Rose Benté Lee Center, and Lola’s Café in Caruthers Hall. Meal plans are available for residents and commuters. Students will receive information on their meal plan choices prior to the beginning of each semester. Commuter students may purchase meal plans through the Campus and Residential Services Office in Gerard Hall during business hours.
What is a meal plan swipe?
Meal swipes provide the greatest value and access to our MU all-you-care-to-eat meals at the Gerard Dining Hall. Meal plan swipes expire at the end of each semester but, for block plans, 25% of the value of unused meal swipes are converted to Bernie Cash for use the following semester.
How does a meal exchange work?
Our new block plans are flexible by allowing you the opportunity to “exchange” a number of meal swipes for an equivalent meal at either Lola’s, Bernie’s, or the Ballston Café.
What are Bernie dollars?
Bernie dollars replace Dining Dollars as a convenient, cashless way to make purchases using your Marymount ID card, both on campus and at many popular off-campus businesses, including Grub Hub deliveries when using the Marymount app. Like using a debit card, funds are deducted as purchases are made. Bernie Dollars unspent at the end of a semester roll forward until the student is no longer enrolled at the University, at which point the balance may be used for MU branded merchandise in the Bookstore or may be donated to the Saint Swipes program.
**First Year students must select the All Access meal plan or 225 Block meal plan regardless of the Residence Hall.
