Marymount University believes that health insurance coverage is crucial while students pursue their studies. If a student lacks adequate health insurance, their education could be interrupted or even terminated due to an unexpected illness or injury.
Summer 2022 wavier is now closed. The Fall 2022 insurance waiver will be available on 6/08/2022 and close on 10/03/2022. Please contact SHS if you have any questions.
Who has to complete a waiver?
- Undergraduate students registered for 12 or more credits
- Graduate students registered for 9 or more credits during the fall and spring semesters
- Please note Graduate students that are registered in the summer for 6 or more credits are considered full-time
- Students who have a change in registration status (i.e. registered as part-time and changed to full-time)
All students that meet the above criteria, will be identified for enrollment in the United Healthcare Student Resources insurance plan and automatically charged for the premium of $2,000. This will be billed to your Student Account as a “line item”.
If I meet the wavier criteria how can I opt out of the school’s plan?
If you have coverage through an individual or family plan, you can waive the university sponsored plan by submitting a waiver. The waiver can be found by logging into myMarymount and clicking “Student Health Insurance Waiver/ Enrollment” under the Sign On Links.
