Services for Students
The following is a list of the services offered at the Student Health Services (SHS):
- Treatment for illnesses, injuries and preventive care
- Immunizations and allergy shots
- Laboratory services
- Health education and wellness programs
The Student Health Services strives to provide quality health care in a timely and efficient manner for all of our patients. Patients must cancel or reschedule 2 hours prior to their scheduled appointment time so our clinic can offer this appointment to other patients.
Medical Excuse Notes
SHS does NOT provide excuse notes for missed classes, exams, or school work.
Physical Exams
SHS will perform physical exams required for: MU athletes, volunteer work, study abroad programs, or clinical site requirements. Please note, that effective August 1, 2023, there will be a $25 charge for Nursing and Physical Therapy physicals. We can take the payment at the time of the appointment in form of cash or credit card. We can also bill your student account if that is preferred. If you have questions about a form that needs the signature of a healthcare provider, please call to see if SHS staff can assist you.
Payment Policy
There is no charge to be seen by the healthcare provider. Insurance may be charged for other services such as lab work and immunizations. Insurance cards must be provided at the time of the appointment. Effective August 1, 2023, there will be a $25 No Show fee after two (2) missed appointments. The fee will be charged to the students’ account.
