Hoon Choi

Academic Credentials

B.A., George Mason University

Biography

Hoon’s love for art came at an early age. He often found himself doodling and drawing whenever paper and pencil were available.

After graduating and honing his skills as a graphic designer at a marketing agency in the Washington metro area, he ventured out at the age of 25 to start a graphic design studio in Northern Virginia. He worked tirelessly and gained loyal clients—many of whom remain his clients after 25 years.

During his 30-year career, his works garnered numerous awards for creative design and marketing effectiveness in national and international competitions. He’s had the privilege to work with numerous world-renowned organizations, such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago. He’s worked with national non-profits such as the National Park Foundation, the American Museum of Natural History, the Martin Luther King Memorial Foundation, Greenpeace, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He’s worked with corporations like Microsoft, Geico, Deloitte, MITRE, and Edelman. And, of course, he’s also worked with numerous small businesses that are the backbone of the American economy.

He takes great pride in being part of the local community of Marymount University faculty and is excited to be a Saint. He hopes to inspire many young aspiring artists, including his own three children.

Hoon Choi graduated with a B.A. in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1996.
