Taizé Prayer Service
Sacred Heart Chapel / 7 pm
The Marymount Campus Ministry team invites all community members to a Taizé Prayer Service, a Lenten event filled with music and prayers that originated in Taizé, France in 1940. The Marymount University Chamber Singers will provide music. We will have the veneration of the cross followed by a student social in Gerard Lobby at 8 pm.

National Chamber Ensemble Concert
Ballston Center / 7:30 pm
As part of our ongoing 75th anniversary celebrations, Marymount University is proud to partner with the National Chamber Ensemble for an unforgettable evening of music. This special concert brings together two world-renowned musicians, violinist Leonid Sushansky and pianist Thomas Pandolfi, who are both Juilliard graduates and acclaimed for their breathtaking performances in prestigious venues across the globe. Their program will feature timeless works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms and celebrated American composer Lowell Liebermann.

School of Design and Art (SoDA) Career Fair

The Center for Career Development & Community Engagement invites students from the School of Design and Art to the SoDA Career Fair on Tuesday, April 8 from 1-4 pm in the Ballston Second Floor Conference Room. This fair is a great way to learn about available professional opportunities and connect with local, regional and national employers! All students are welcome to attend.

Bernie’s Birthday Bash

Marymount’s Office of Student Affairs invites all students, faculty and staff to celebrate the 30th birthday of our beloved mascot, Bernie! We will enjoy cake and refreshments with Bernie and his furry friends in the Lee Center. Come get a picture with Bernie and hang out with our therapy dogs. What a ‘pawfect’ way to celebrate our mascot and Marymount’s 75th anniversary year!

From noon on April 9 to noon on April 10, Marymount will celebrate Giving Day 2025. This is an amazing opportunity for students, faculty, staff and alumni to give back to the Marymount community during our 75th anniversary year. Keegan Lecture Series

Marymount University invites all community members to attend the annual Dana Keegan & Martha Child Lecture Series, which brings leading interior design professionals to campus to share their thoughts about the industry. This year’s guest speaker will be Tama Duffy Day, a strategist, designer, longevity advocate, educator, author and licensed interior designer with over 40 years of professional practice. The lecture is scheduled for 4–5 pm, followed by a reception from 5–7 pm.

Portfolio in Motion: Secret Garden
Pentagon City Mall / 1–4 pm
Join the School of Art and Design for the annual Portfolio in Motion fashion show! Student designers and models will walk the runway, showcasing designs inspired by lush landscapes, earthy tones and vibrant colors corresponding to the theme, “Secret Garden.” The show will honor Designer of the Year, Nina McLemore, founder of Liz Claiborne Accessories and her own self-titled women’s wear brand, Nina McLemore Inc. Portfolio in Motion will also feature collections by Marymount seniors Caroline MacDonald and Roy Davis. This year’s show will be at Pentagon City Mall in Arlington, Va.

Commencement Ceremonies
Converse Field / 10 am
Marymount will celebrate the Class of 2025 with three days of Commencement Ceremonies. The College of BILT will host its ceremony on Friday, followed by the College of Health and Education on Saturday and the College of Sciences and Humanities on Sunday. All ceremonies will begin at 10 am and will be held on Converse Field.
