The Office of Admissions at Marymount University is here to help students transfer smoothly from Northern Virginia Community College.

At Marymount University, we don’t want affordability to prevent students from completing their Bachelor’s Degree. With that in mind, we provide various scholarships and grants for NOVA transfer students.

NOVA graduates can qualify for up to $25,500 in scholarships and grants per year before filing the FAFSA.

MARYMOUNT TRANSFER AWARDS

Every transfer student is awarded a merit scholarship upon admission to Marymount University. These awards range from $10,000 to $16,000 annually based on the student’s GPA.

NOVA PRIORITY & AFFORDABILITY AWARD

Marymount has established NOVA Priority Awards to reflect confidence in NOVA transfer students and the value we see in our partnership with NOVA.

NOVA students can only qualify for one of the following awards:

  • Students who graduate from NOVA with an Associate’s Degree will receive a $2,500 scholarship annually from Marymount.
  • Students with 30+ credit hours from NOVA who will not earn their Associate’s Degree before attending Marymount will receive a $1,500 scholarship annually.

PHI THETA KAPPA SCHOLARSHIP

Marymount offers a $2,000 scholarship to Community College Students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa.

VIRGINIA TUITION ASSISTANCE GRANT

This grant, awarded by the Commonwealth of Virginia, provides students who live in Virginia and graduated from a Virginia high school an additional $5,000 to attend Marymount. This grant must be applied for through the State Council for Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV).
