Can I receive an exemption?

Answer

With documentation from a provider (for medical exemptions) or an attestation signed yourself (for personal or religious exemptions), we may grant exemptions to immunizations. The exemption must be submitted into the compliance management system.**Please note that ALL exemptions are subject to the policies and procedures at each clinical facility. There may be additional paperwork or applications depending on the clinical location you will be attending. Please note that this process can take multiple weeks to complete and does not guarantee the exemption will be granted by the facility.

Is this the same as the required documentation for Student Health?

This is NOT the same as the Student Health documentation requirements. Records sent to Student Health will NOT be transferred over into our compliance management system. You must submit to both places.

Where do I submit my documentation?

Answer

Marymount nursing uses a platform called Exxat for clinical documentation submission and clinical placements. You will be given further information on setting up an account when starting the program. Please have all clinical requirements ready for upload.

Is there a cost?

Answer

The compliance management system does charge for the background check, drug screen and compliance management. There is a one-time cost upon registering for the compliance management system. Please review the costs within the system.Should a repeat background check or drug screen be required, this will incur additional cost through the compliance management system.

When should I begin?

Answer

As soon as possible! Please begin gathering your records during your application process to Marymount. If you notice that you do not have documentation for childhood vaccines, it is important to start the process EARLY as the schedule of the vaccinations as set by the CDC may be extensive depending on the vaccination (for example, Hepatitis B is a series of vaccinations that can span up to 6 months)As there is a cost for the system, you may consider registering for the compliance management system only after acceptance to the program, HOWEVER, you should start to gather the information to upload as soon as possible.

What if I am not compliant?

Answer
You will NOT be permitted to start clinical courses until ALL requirements are met, uploaded into our compliance management system and approved. If you are not compliant at the start of the semester, you will be DROPPED from any clinical courses that you are registered for.
