Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) is a testing company that offers standardized entrance testing and comprehensive examinations for schools of nursing in the United States. Who needs to take the exam?
Transfer BSN applicants (not entering freshmen) who do not have a previous bachelor’s degree are required to take the ATI-TEAS to be considered for admission. All Transfer Applicants must have a competitive score on the ATI-TEAS. Students who receive an unsatisfactory score or wish to improve their score may retake the exam one time only.
Accelerated BSN applicants are students who have received a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university. Applicants with a GPA of 2.8 or higher from a U.S college or university may be exempted from this requirement. Students who receive an unsatisfactory score or wish to improve their score may retake the exam one time only.
