Marymount University presents a unique opportunity for transfer students – students who come to Marymount having already completed a transfer-oriented Associates Degree from Montgomery College do not need to complete any additional general education requirements at Marymount (called the “Liberal Arts Core” at Marymount) other than one theology course (TRS 100). Transfer students can therefore focus on their major – and in many cases add a semester-long study abroad experience and a minor if they wish – and still graduate just four semesters after transferring (even if they have never taken any previous political science courses while in community college).
