Foundation/Other Resources

Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) opportunities: ORAU membership provides collaborative opportunities with numerous research universities across the US. Take advantage of these valuable resources which includes collaborative opportunities and event grants. Find collaborators across the country to assist in exploration of an early stage research idea or contribute specialized expertise to a well-developed project. ORAU may be able to match you up with other researchers interested in the same topic. ORAU Event Grants may be funded for $4,000. If funded, Marymount will contribute an additional $2,000 of support, for a $6,000 total award. The aim of an event grant is to build collaborations among ORAU institutions and identify areas of mutual research interest for future funding opportunities. Contact Dr. Rita Wong or Janine Burgess in Marymount’s OSP for more information and guidance in preparing an ORAU request.

The Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Units (CESU) Network:  CESU is a national consortium of federal agencies, tribes, academic institutions, state and local governments, nongovernmental conservation organizations, and other partners.  The CESU Network supports research, technical assistance, education, and capacity building to meet contemporary science and resource management priorities. Marymount University is part of the Chesapeake Watershed Unit which comprises more than 60 nonfederal partner institutions and 12 federal agencies. These partners provide leadership in watershed science and stewardship with special emphasis on the watershed of the Chesapeake Bay. For more Information please visit: Chesapeake Watershed Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (chwacesu.org) and contact Janine Burgess in OSP.
