Opera NOVA’s African-American Concert at the Reinsch Library

A concert by Opera NOVA will celebrate African-American Opera Singers past and present at 3 PM on Sunday, January 27 at Marymount University’s Reinsch Library Theatre.

Featured in this second annual event will be singers Elise Jenkins, Keith Craig, Jocelyn Hunt, Arianna Rodriguez, Jarrod Lee and accompanist Dr. Elizabeth Hill. They’ll perform favorite opera passages, art songs, gospel and inspirational songs and Broadway tunes.

Besides the music, the concert will honor the achievements of past African-American singers such as Leontyne Price, Marian Anderson and Coretta Scott King.
