The public is invited to hear Dr. Lujendra Ojha give the keynote address at Marymount University’s annual Student Research Conference at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26 at 4040 Fairfax Drive. Dr. Ojha is a Nepalese-American planetary scientist who uncovered evidence of water on Mars while an undergraduate at the University of Arizona. At the time he was analyzing images from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter with Professor Alfred McEwen.
In 2015 Ojha was the lead author of a study in Nature Geoscience confirming that water still flows on Mars today. He received his doctorate from Georgia Tech and is currently the Blaustein Postdoctoral Fellow in Planetary Science at Johns Hopkins University.
