Mobile COVID-19 unit brings no-cost testing to MU

Mobile COVID-19 Testing Unit

Marymount University is partnering with Arlington County to provide a COVID-19 mobile testing unit at its main campus in North Arlington.

The mobile testing unit, operated by Quest Diagnostics, will operate at the University from April 19 to May 7, open Monday thru Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. It will be located in the side parking lot next to Reinsch Library along 26th Street. It will offer no-cost, no-appointment COVID-19 testing to the general public, as well as Marymount students, staff and faculty.

“We are proud to be Arlington’s hometown University and are excited for yet another opportunity to partner with the County and serve our community,” said Barry Harte, Vice President for Finance & Operations and Treasurer at Marymount University. “We hope all local residents will take this opportunity to come to our campus, get tested and learn about the best safety practices they can use to keep themselves and their families safe.”

“We’re proud to partner with Marymount University to bring mobile COVID-19 testing to its students, staff and nearby residents,” added Aaron Miller, Director of Arlington County’s Department of Public Safety Communications and Emergency Management. “It’s great to partner with a university that has embraced proactive testing from the very beginning of the pandemic, and which today conducts continuous random testing of its community members to keep the University and surrounding areas safe.”

Self-administered nasal tests are offered to persons aged 13+ at no cost to patients and do not require a medical referral or appointment, regardless of insurance or immigration status. Participants will be asked for insurance information, if available, so insurance providers can be billed, but no co-pay from participants will be required. While appointments are not required, one can be made by visiting the Quest Diagnostics website.
