Marymount University Named a “Top College” by Virginia Living

Marymount University has been named to Virginia Living’s Top High Schools and Colleges 2018 list, which will appear in special supplement in the magazine’s October issue. That supplement, Virginia Living State of Education, celebrates excellence and innovation in Virginia’s schools.

It recognizes schools for excellence and innovation in six categories:
• Arts & Humanities
• Science
• Math & Technology
• Performing & Visual Arts
• Athletics
• Special Needs

Virginia Living’s editors selected schools that have instituted programs, courses or capital improvements aimed at strengthening students’ experiences in and beyond the classroom.

Founded in 1950, Marymount is a comprehensive Catholic university offering a wide array of undergraduate and graduate degrees through the Schools of Design, Arts, and Humanities; Business and Technology; Sciences, Mathematics, and Education; and the Malek School of Health Professions.

A Marymount education provides a strong liberal arts foundation and solid career preparation, blending theory with hands-on learning. To help prepare students for a career, all undergraduates complete an internship, clinical experience, student-teaching placement or research project.

Saints participate in men’s and women’s basketball, cross-country, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, volleyball, golf, triathlon and men’s baseball. Intramural sports are also available.
