Marymount Invites Students to Campus

High school juniors, seniors and their families – as well as college students interested in transferring – are invited to visit Marymount University as part of Virginia Private College week from July 25 through 30. Tours and information sessions about academic programs, financial aid and the admission process will be held at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. on Saturday.

“This week offers a great opportunity to learn about the quality and affordability of our Virginia private colleges,” said Francesca Reed, associate vice president of enrollment management. “We provide students a learning experience where they can be mentored by their professors and can work directly with faculty on relevant research. Because our students are engaged in the classroom and involved on campus, they are well prepared for a career or graduate school.”

Registration and check-in will be in the Main House, 2807 North Glebe Road, on weekdays and Reinsch Library Auditorium on Saturday. Those attending are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes before the session. Campus staff will direct visitors to parking. Register for the session of your choice at Virginia Private College Week.

Marymount is one of 24 colleges participating in the annual event, which is sponsored by the Council of Independent Colleges of Virginia (CICV). Students who visit three or more participating institutions during the week will receive application fee waivers to any three CICV member institutions. In addition, they will be eligible for a drawing for a $500 Amazon gift card.
