89th Saudi National Day

Saudi National Day is celebrated in Saudi Arabia every year on September 23 to commemorate the renaming of the Kingdom of Nejd and Hejaz to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by a royal decree from King Abdulaziz Ibn Saud in 1932.

Every year the Embassy of Saudi Arabi in DC celebrate this day with the Saudi Community in the United States. Every year 3000 to 4000, people from all nationality attend the Saudi National day celebration hosted by the Embassy. This year the event was at the King Abdullah Academy where more than 3000 people attended including princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States.

Marymount University Saudi Students participate and work towards the success of the Saudi National Day celebration annually. This year was no different as Marymount students involved SHOTTED Specialty Coffee to provide both hot and cold beverages at the event.
