Deferral of Enrollment Policy

Marymount University offers students the option to defer their offer of admission for up to one year. Students must submit this form in order to request a deferral. The full enrollment deposit ($500) is due in order for a deferral request to be processed.

All requests are reviewed on a case by case basis. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable but will be applied as credit towards the student’s first semester charges.

Students who complete this form AND submit the enrollment deposit reserve their spot and will keep their original merit scholarship. Students deferring for one full year must submit a new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for need-based aid.

Students may not enroll in a degree-seeking program at another institution or earn more than 15 credits after high school (6 credits if deferring for only one semester) during the term of deferment. Doing so will result in the forfeiture of admission to Marymount and the enrollment deposit; students would need to apply for admission as a transfer student.
