Financial Aid Forms

Financial Aid Appeals

Financial aid appeals are submitted when you, your spouse, or your parents have special or unusual circumstances not reflected on your FAFSA. The Financial Aid Office reviews appeals to determine whether documentation is sufficient, whether the appeal meets policy requirements, and whether it would change your aid eligibility.

Reasons for an appeal may include, but are not limited to, job loss or reduced income or benefits, divorce or separation of parents after completing the FAFSA, the death of a parent or spouse, significant uncovered medical/dental expenses, or any component of the Cost of Attendance that exceeds the listed amount (including uncovered costs relating to disability).

Before submitting an appeal, you’re encouraged to speak with a financial aid team member for guidance on the correct form, required information, and supporting documents. Marymount provides specific forms for the most common types of appeals below. To appeal, students must complete the appropriate form, follow all instructions provided on the form, and submit all required documentation listed to the Financial Aid office at .
