EQUATOR Network

The EQUATOR (Enhancing the QUAlity and Transparency Of health Research) Network is a comprehensive resource for transparent and accurate reporting of health research. It offers a comprehensive Library of reporting guidelines (e.g. CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA) tailored to different study types. These checklists help authors ensure their work is complete, clear, and reproducible, and are required by most reputable journals.

EQUATOR defines a reporting guideline as “a checklist, flow diagram, or structured text to guide authors in reporting a specific type of research, developed using explicit methodology.”  These tools help manuscripts:

• Be understandable to readers

• Be replicable by other researchers

• Support use in clinical decision‑making
