We are pleased to highlight promising and rising scholars at Marymount who are making a difference in their communities through communication, service, and social action. Please check back monthly for the student spotlight.
This month we highlight a dynamic Communication major, Claire Smith. She is a dedicated student and stellar athlete with a quiet self-assuredness that shines through. Claire is also active in Lambda Pi Eta, the communication honor society, and can be counted on to step in whenever necessary. We are so proud of Claire and all that she has accomplished while here at Marymount and look forward to all of the great things to come. Here she is in her own words.
“My name is Claire and I am a senior majoring in communication with a minor in sports management. I am also a member of the women’s basketball team at Marymount and work closely with the athletic department’s communication office. In the future, I would like to pursue a career in the communication sports industry after I graduate. I have a passion for sports and people and my future goal is to work in communications in collegiate athletic departments and eventually build my way up to work for professional sports teams.”
