What are you most excited about being a STEM Scholar?
I am most excited about interacting/engaging with the greater community when it comes the citizen science and teaching them how much fun and how much benefit it brings to the world of research science.

Have you previously worked on a citizen science project? If yes, describe the project.
iNaturalist. Documenting pictures and audio samples of the presence of native species in various habitats throughout the US, The Cayman Islands and The Bahamas.

Collaborating with other students from different disciplines to research new and interesting topics.

I selected the water contamination project to study the local water system.

I’m excited about broadening my perspectives and hearing from other classmates who introduce new ideas that I can build my own of.

I did an online project that was based on the unknown psychological biases of the population.

What are you most excited about being a STEM Scholar?
The most exciting part of being an STEM scholar is collaborating with other students from different disciplines of science, researching different topics and fields. The best part is learning from the faculty members and getting hands-on research, which is a once in a lifetime experience.

Have you previously worked on a citizen science project? If yes, describe the project.
I got the opportunity to collaborate with Dr. Wright on a research project focused on the development of novel antibiotics. Additionally, I initiated a study investigating the detrimental impacts of light pollution on avian species.
