The Marymount College of Health and Education (CHE) presents the fourth edition of “The Health and Education Herald,” a newsletter that celebrates the accomplishments of CHE students, faculty, staff and alumni.
In the first issue of the 2025-26 school year, the College of Health and Education welcomes students back to campus with updates on the school’s infrastructure and new hires. The newsletter recaps some summer initiatives including the inaugural session of the Camp Santos: Rec N’ Read summer program designed to support bilingual reading and writing skills in elementary school students, created in collaboration with educators from the new Speech and Language Pathology program. This issue also celebrates Marymount’s newest Faculty Halo Award winner, Dr. Lisa Turissini, who was instrumental in launching the Early Learning Academy and who continues to inspire students and educators within the School of Education. Finally, the newsletter details alumni accomplishments including the publication of a children’s book on aquatic physical therapy by DPT grad Kristen Killroy ’18.
