Graphic and Media Design Minor

About the Minor

This minor prepares students for careers in high-demand fields in graphic communication and media design at corporations, government agencies, design studios, advertising agencies, book magazine and newspaper publisher, web and mobile app developers, exhibit design and video and motion graphic production companies. The graphic and media design minor requires 18 credits of coursework.

Requirements

• GMD 255 – Typography
• GMD 305 – Publication Design
• GMD 308 – Web and Social Media Design
• VIS 121 – Intro to Digital Tools
• VIS 224 – Digital Publishing
• One (1) additional course, choosing from the following:
  • GMD 202 – Illustration I
  • GMD 205 – Video Production: Promotional and Informational Communication
