The purpose of Marymount University’s program in Political Science and International Relations is to help students develop critical thinking and effective writing skills, engage deeply with theoretical and applied concepts in local, state, national, and international governance, and prepare for careers in government, advocacy, law, policy, and international affairs.

To that end, the program solicits donations to a program fund, which can be put to the following uses at the discretion of the political science and international relations faculty:

  • Expenses for political science / international relations students doing research, internships, or study abroad programs
  • Stipends for current students to mentor and advise first-year and prospective students and to assist in program administration
  • Funds for student organizations connected to political science / international relations for extracurricular programming connected to career development
  • Stipends or expenses for visiting instructional faculty
  • Stipends and expenses for guest speakers or conferences

Donations made to Marymount University, an exempt organization as described in Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, EIN #54-0573801, are tax-deductible.
