Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and Media Design Program Highlights

Inspire and influence others with your creative talents.

At Marymount, you’ll learn how to produce impactful designs for various mediums. Through our media and graphic designing degree, you’ll benefit from:

  • Small classes that help your individual talents shine

Our graphic and media design courses are purposely kept small—16 students or less—so that you can work closely with professors. Throughout your coursework, you’ll explore your creativity in areas such as digital photography, graphic design, illustration, motion graphics, UX/UI, print production, video production, and more.

  • Structured internship opportunities

All our bachelor’s degree in graphic design and media students take part in a 120-hour internship as a senior. In recent years, our students have interned at AIGA, Capital One, Lidl, Gannett and Wolftrap Center for the Performing Arts.

  • Learning opportunities around the globe

Training for a graphic designer at Marymount may include the ability to take your learning overseas. We offer a semester-long study abroad opportunity in Florence, Italy, as well as week-long study abroad courses in locations around the world. These are unique chances to gain new perspectives and push your creative boundaries.

  • Hands-on learning throughout your studies.

Beyond the classroom, you’ll have countless ways to express yourself and put your training to work. While several of our graphic and media design degree students take part in our literary arts magazine and student newspaper, they also pursue student work and research opportunities. No matter your interests, you’ll have the opportunity to hone your craft and prepare for careers in graphic and media design.
