We Love Marymount

An initiative that celebrates your creativity, innovation, and commitment to our mission.

We invite staff and faculty to submit bold ideas and practical solutions that enhance the student experience, strengthen Marymount’s financial future, and build community pride.

Competition details:

  • Open to full-time and part-time Marymount faculty and staff
  • Individual and team submissions are allowed
  • Ideas may be already implemented or freshly brainstormed!
  • Participants must submit a one-page proposal addressing the following:
    • Title of the initiative/idea
    • Description of the idea/initiative
    • Strategic Plan pillar it aligns with (from the 2019–26 Strategic Plan)
    • Intended outcome
    • Roles & responsibilities (who’s involved, and what support is needed)
    • Implementation status (planned, in progress, or completed)

Each idea must tie into one of the five pillars of Marymount’s 2019–26 Strategic Plan:

  1. Distinctive Identity
  2. Transformative Experiences
  3. Vibrant Community
  4. Sustainable Future

Special consideration will be given to ideas that show:

  • Potential for increasing tuition revenue or auxiliary income
  • Improvements in student retention or engagement
  • Strategies to recruit more efficiently or broaden Marymount’s reach
  • Approaches to reduce or consolidate expenses while maintaining service quality

Examples Submission Ideas:

  • Negotiating better vendor contracts
  • Bulk purchasing of commonly used items across departments
  • Converting existing services (e.g., Health and Wellness Clinic) into revenue-generating units
  • Expanding high-demand services like the Early Learning Academy
  • Improving outdated processes or workflows for greater efficiency

Submission deadlines are at the end of each semester.

Winners will meet with Glenn Davidson, Chief Strategy Officer, to further develop their ideas and coordinate a clear implementation plan. That plan will then be presented to Cabinet, ensuring these great ideas move beyond concept and into action.
