That means we have omitted some CEOs with national profiles who usually make the list.
Irma Becerra
President, Marymount University
Irma Becerra has led one of the region’s smallest universities — it welcomed more than 500 freshmen this fall, its largest ever freshmen class — with an outsized impact since 2018. The university has worked to match its marketing with in-demand majors. This year, Becerra became chairman of the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area.
