Washington Business Journal: Business leaders share their reflections on an up-and-down 2021

 

Every year has its highs and lows. But at this point, we’ve entered hair-raising roller-coaster territory, and no one really knows when this ride is going to stop.

We bid farewell to 2021 with your reflections on another year of playing it by ear, rolling with the punches — simply staying healthy and safe. Just accomplishing whatever we deem to be “normal” is worthy of celebration, but even in the face of chaos, you did so much more.

We asked Greater Washington business leaders to give us a taste of their highs and lows for 2021, and they delivered. Read some of their responses below.

The high points

“Achieving a 98% overall vaccination rate for our Marymount community, bringing our students back to campus in a face-to-face format and being able to return to ‘normal’ in-person activities as well as social gatherings.”
