Students produce video for ABA Commission on Law and Aging

Communication major Sean Milligan and Graphic and Media Design major Rebecca Lake collaborated on a video for the ABA (American Bar Association) Commission on Law and Aging.

This pro-bono community service project started with two days of filming at the annual meeting of the Commission on Law and Aging during their Fall 2019 video production class. In the spring of 2020, Milligan completed editing the video on his own time.

Currently, the video appears on the ABA’s website as an introduction to the Commission on Law and Aging.

The ABA Commission on Law and Aging is a collaborative and interdisciplinary leader of the Association’s work to strengthen and secure the legal rights, dignity, autonomy, quality of life and quality of care for aging persons. The Commission accomplishes its work through research, policy development, advocacy, education, training and through assistance to lawyers, bar associations and other groups working on aging issues.

“Right now, the older population is about 16 percent of the population and numbers 54 million, and that will nearly double in the next 40 years,” said Charlie Sabatino, Director of the ABA Commission on Law and Aging.
