Six Sigma Course offered at Marymount’s Reston Center

A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt professional development course will be offered starting Sept. 20 at Marymount University’s Reston Center, 1861 Wiehle Ave., Suite 110. Two course times are offered: one during the day on Saturdays and another on Monday evenings.

The 40-hour course is designed to develop skills required to serve on project teams, including problem-solving, the use of statistical tools, collecting and analyzing data and leading and executing process-level improvement projects. It will be taught by Monroe Ratchford, a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, of Leaps Consulting.

Cost is $2,000. Marymount students, alumni and employees may attend for $1,800. The cost for Marymount Educational and membership partners is $1,900.

The program is recommended for professionals in health care, government agencies, financial services, computer and electronics, and aerospace and defense, among other fields.

Sessions will be held Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 20, Oct. 4, Oct. 11 and Oct. 25. Monday sessions will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. on Sept. 29, Oct. 20 and Oct. 27. Registrants must attend each session. Space is limited.
