Reception for Student Art and Design Exhibition at Barry Gallery on March 25

The public is invited to a free opening reception for the Annual Student Art and Design Exhibition from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25 at Marymount University’s Barry Gallery. The exhibition will feature the top work of students in the school’s fine arts, fashion and graphic design programs.

“This will showcase the best of the best,” said Judy Bass, a professor of fine arts and director of the gallery. “The work has all been created in the classroom and juried by the art and design faculty. It’s exciting to see and very rewarding for everyone involved.”

The displays will include paintings, drawings, two- and three-dimensional designs, print-making, jewelry and ceramics. Various graphic design projects and illustrations will be shown, along with fashion illustrations and textile design.

This will be the last gallery exhibit for the academic year.

The Barry Gallery, located in the Reinsch Library on Marymount’s main campus, 2807 North Glebe Road, is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is free.

The exhibit will run through May 1. For more information on the gallery, go to marymount.edu/barrygallery.
