Marymount University has established a new partnership with York Catholic High School and renewed its existing agreement with Delone Catholic High School, strengthening access to higher education for students from both institutions. Through these collaborations, high school graduates who meet specific academic criteria will receive guaranteed admission to Marymount as well as renewable scholarships valued at a minimum of $20,000 per year.
York Catholic High School, grounded in the Catholic intellectual and spiritual tradition, offers a values-based, college-preparatory education that focuses on academic achievement, faith formation and personal growth. Located in York, Pa., the school serves students in grades 7–12, preparing them to thrive in college, careers and as compassionate leaders in their communities.
Delone Catholic High School, rooted in the values of the Catholic educational tradition, offers a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum designed to develop academic, spiritual and moral excellence. Located in McSherrystown, Pa., Delone equips students to succeed in higher education and beyond.
“Expanding opportunities for York Catholic High School and Delone Catholic High School students to continue their faith-based education at the university level is a natural extension of our mission,” said Dr. Louis Frisenda, Associate Vice President for Enrollment Initiatives at Marymount University. “We’re proud to create clear, affordable pathways that make higher education more attainable and welcome these students into our inclusive Catholic learning community.”
The partnerships, which take effect beginning with the Fall 2026 admissions cycle, align with Marymount’s strategic goal of building pipelines from regional high schools that share its values of service, academic excellence and faith-based leadership. Students who meet the 2.8 GPA requirement will be automatically admitted and considered for the scholarship, which is renewable for up to four years of full-time study. Additional financial aid may also be awarded based on individual need.
Representatives from Marymount’s Office of Admissions will visit both York Catholic High School and Delone Catholic High School throughout the year to meet with students and families, provide admissions guidance and share information about academic programs, financial aid and student life.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Marymount University. This agreement speaks volumes about our students’ readiness and the confidence Marymount places in them,” said David Staub, principal of Delone Catholic High School. “We couldn’t be more excited for what lies ahead.”
“York Catholic High School is excited to explore a partnership with Dr. Frisenda that mirrors the impactful opportunities we’ve seen offered to students in other schools,” added Laura Burkey, advancement director at York Catholic High School. “Our goal is to expand access and provide meaningful academic pathways that prepare our students for future success.”
With these latest partnerships, Marymount continues to strengthen regional connections and demonstrate its commitment to creating equitable pathways to higher education.
