Marymount Invites Public to Christmas Season Events

Marymount University invites area residents to celebrate the Christmas season at several campus events:

Christmas Tree Lighting – Friday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m.

Marymount’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting will greet the holiday season. Guests will enjoy scripture readings punctuated by music from the Randolph Elementary School Choir. The tree lighting will take place in front of Marymount’s Lodge building.

Following the tree lighting, warm up with refreshments and have your photo made with Santa at a reception in the Lee Center.

Blue Harmony Christmas Concert – Sunday, Dec. 6 at 4 p.m.

Marymount’s Blue Harmony Show Choir will perform favorite holiday tunes during its Christmas Concert in the Reinsch Library Auditorium. Admission is free. A reception will follow.

Candlelight Mass – Sunday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m.

In celebration of Gaudete Sunday – the Sunday of Joy in the midst of Advent, Marymount invites the community to worship together at a Candlelight Mass in its Sacred Heart of Mary Chapel. Following Mass, enjoy hot chocolate, cookies and caroling at MU’s Main House.

All events will take place at the Marymount University Main Campus, 2807 N. Glebe Road.
