Marymount Hosting Dancing With Stars Event

Marymount University is hosting a special event, “MU Dancing with the Stars,” at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27 in the Rose Bente ?Lee Center on the school’s main campus, 2807 North Glebe Road, Arlington.

Cost is $2 for children under 12 and Marymount faculty, staff, students, alumni and their guests. General admission tickets are $5. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. Proceeds will support the Marymount Presidential Assistance Fund, which helps students who encounter unexpected financial hardship.

During the competition, Marymount faculty, staff and students will be teamed with professional ballroom dancers from the Fred Astaire Dance Studios.

Contestants include: Zachary Mandzik, ’16, criminal justice/IT major; Emily Luke, ’16, nursing major; David Pomeroy, director of experiential learning; Shannon Melideo, associate dean of the School of Education and Human Services; Eric Jefferson, ’13, admissions counselor; Steven Aquilar, campus safety corporal; and Francesca Blee, ’15, fashion merchandising major.

The door prize is a Fred Astaire Dance Studios introductory package.
