Marymount holds prayer vigil, listening session in response to racial violence and unrest

This Wednesday, Marymount University held an Ecumenical Prayer Vigil to mourn the Black lives lost to racial violence and police brutality. Members of the Marymount community offered reflections and honored those lost, and were invited to light a candle in their homes for prayer and intentions.

Immediately following, Student Counseling Services and the Office of the Dean of Students hosted a listening session titled “Saints in Solidarity,” which provided a space for community members to acknowledge the trauma of systemic violence against people of color.
