How to use the Alumni Course Audit Program

Answer

1. Review the Alumni Audit Policy below.

2. Search for available courses using the Schedule of Classes. Be sure to select the correct semester!

3. Complete the Audit Request Form.

4. Wait for approval. Alumni Relations will contact the associate dean and notify you once permission is granted.

5. We’ll handle your registration. You’ll be registered through the Registrar’s Office—no need to register online.

6. Begin your course! Book lists are available online or at the campus bookstore.

Alumni Audit Policy Overview

  • Must be a Marymount degree-holding alum in good standing.
  • Courses are for non-credit, enrichment purposes only and cannot be applied toward a future degree.
  • You may audit up to two courses per semester.
  • Alumni may register one week before classes begin, space permitting.
  • Cost: $330 per course per semester (subject to change) + tech fees. Pay through Student Accounts at 703-284-1490.
  • No labs, clinicals, or skill-intensive courses (e.g., nursing clinicals, education practicums).
  • Courses will be recorded on your academic transcript.
  • Alumni attending in-person must check in at the Main Guardhouse for a visitor and parking pass.
  • Computer labs are available, though degree-seeking students have priority.
