Refund Policy
Financial Aid Disbursement Period
All student financial aid will disburse only after the Add/Drop Enrollment period to ensure eligibility. This disbursement policy impacts when federal aid is disbursed and refunded to students. For additional information on this update, please click here.
Refunds for Federal Aid will be processed within 14 business days of disbursement per the Department of Education guidance. Refunds for all other aid will be processed upon review of eligibility.
BankMobile Refund Program
Our school delivers your refund with BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc. Please visit the following link for more information and to request your personal code to make your refund selection.
When it comes to deciding how to get your money, you deserve choices. Your choices include:
Less than Intended
If a student is enrolled in LESS THAN INTENDED the number of credits his/her award was based on, they must contact the Financial Aid Office to have their award updated. Otherwise, their aid will not post to their account until after Attendance Confirmation has been completed.
Summer Financial Aid Awards
Federal Aid will not post to a student’s account until they are actually attending at least 6 credit hours. If you do not meet the 6 credit minimum before Summer Session II begins, your federal aid will not post until after Attendance Confirmation is completed for all summer sessions; therefore you do not qualify for an early refund. If you are anticipating a refund to cover any external expenses and are not eligible for the Early Refund, please plan accordingly as funds will not be available until after the Attendance Confirmation period has been completed.
Credit for Tuition and Fees
To be eligible to receive credit for tuition and fees of dropped or withdrawn courses, students must officially drop/withdraw within the Course Drop Refund Schedule. Credit for tuition and fees will be calculated based on the actual withdrawal or separation date.

No credit for tuition and fee charges will be given once classes have begun.
Class/University Withdrawal Policy
In order to receive credit for tuition and fee charges in accordance with the advertised refund/withdrawal period, a student must officially withdraw from a class, even if someone other than the student registered him or her for the class. Failure to do so will constitute a financial obligation to the University because classroom seats reserved during registration continue to be held for a student until he or she officially withdraws from the class. Stopping payment on a tuition check or credit card authorization or not attending a class does not constitute an official withdrawal from class.
A student who received financial aid should check with the Financial Aid Office before withdrawing from any classes. Federal financial aid recipient refunds will be determined based on the federal pro-rata refund regulations. Information and examples of federal pro-rata refunds are available in the Financial Aid Office.
Withdrawal after the Course Drop Refund Period
A student who withdraws from one or all classes after the Course Drop Refund Period does not qualify for a refund. An exception to this policy may be made in extraordinary circumstances such as an illness or medical emergency that qualifies the student for medical leave.
If a student moves out of the residence halls before the end of the semester, credit for room and board will be calculated as outlined in the resident contract for that semester. Meal plans will be adjusted appropriately based on the specific circumstances of the student’s departure. Appeals of any charges must be submitted in writing to the Office of Campus and Residential Services during the semester the student departs the residence halls.
Credit for Commuter Meal Plan Charges
If a student requests a commuter meal plan and then decides not to use that plan, no credit will be given for its cost. Commuter meal plans expire at the end of the semester.
