Responsible Conduct of Research
What is Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)?
Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)– a term used across federal granting agencies– is the practice of scientific investigation with integrity. This involves following all established norms and ethical principles involved in research activity.
Research integrity is a fundamental expectation of all MU faculty, staff, students and collaborators engaging in research.
RCR Training
Faculty and students engaged in research are recommended to complete RCR training. For those participating on NIH-funded projects, this training is required.
Additional NIH training modules on Rigor & Reproducibility and Clinical Research are also recommended, as appropriate.
The NIH RCR training portal can be accessed for free via the NIH Responsible Conduct of Research website.
