ORCID
ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) provides researchers with a unique, persistent digital identifier that distinguishes them from others with similar names. ORCID links an individual’s scholarly contributions, including publications, grants, data sets, and affiliations, across journals, databases, and institutions. ORCID serves as a digital bibliography and may be made public and added to research websites and academic CVs.Using an ORCID ensures proper attribution of your work, simplifies manuscript and grant submissions, and helps build a complete, verifiable record of your research career.
MU researchers are encouraged to create and update their ORCID at orcid.org.
ORCID will automatically pull publications from major databases (e.g. PubMed) and flag them for investigator review and claiming. Citations not automatically uploaded to a researcher’s profile may be manually entered.
